Arrival Ajaccio and departure Bastia.


D01 : Ajaccio (25 km)

Arrival at Ajaccio. Welcome by our bus driver and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in or near Ajaccio.  


D02 : Porto and creeks of Piana (180 km)

Breakfast. Departure towards the gulf of Sagone then Cargèse. Continuation towards the lovely village of Piana and its famous coves. Bordered by cliffs and turquoise sea, the gulf of Porto is a Unesco-listed World Heritage site. Lunch at restaurant. Continuation of the tour through majestic valleys and torrents with green water of the Spélunca gorges. Then Evisa, village surrounded by chestnut trees, rivers and natural pools, the mountain pass of Sévi, Vico. Return to Ajaccio. Dinner and overnight in or near Ajaccio.


D03 : Ajaccio (30 km)

After breakfast, discovery of Ajaccio: the imperial city and its cathedral, its “Place du Diamant” (the Diamond plaza), its old harbor, its vibrant markets, its alleys with noble homes, the Sanguinaires road… Bonaparte House (with tariff supplement)… Lunch at restaurant. Free afternoon to stroll in the city, shopping or relax on the terrace. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in or near Ajaccio.  


D04 : The Far South : (345 km)

After breakfast, road towards Propriano and Sartène, capital of the Terra dei Signori, territory of the origins of Corsica, prehistoric sites and leftover of castles dating from feudal times. Incredible white cliffs shaped by the waves: here is Bonifacio. Visit of the old town: the “Bastion de l’Etendard”, the “Place d’Armes”, the marine cemetery and its touching beauty, the spectacular staircase of the King of Aragon carved into the cliff and the church Saint Dominique. Enjoy the point of view on the Lavezzi Islands and Sardinia. Optional: ride in tourist train and boat trip are highly recommended! Lunch at restaurant. Continuation of the road towards Porto-Vecchio, the “Côte des Nacres” (Coast of Pearls), and its coastline with long fine sandy beaches to arrive at Bastia. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in or near Bastia.


D05 : Cap Corse : (110 km)

Breakfast. Continuation of the road toward Cap Corse, to the north, a land of sailors and fishermen: Erbalunga, a small fishing village so much enjoyed by painters, Lavasina, a pilgrimage site, Pino and the mountain pass of Sainte Lucie, the Marine de Sisco, Luri. Lunch at restaurant. Continuation of the road towards Nonza and its Genoese tower, Patrimonio in order to taste Corsican wines, then Bastia: capital of Haute-Corse, its old harbor, its Saint Nicolas square, its old alleys, its citadel, its cathedral…Dinner and overnight in or close to Bastia.


D06 : Balagne : (125 km)

Breakfast. Departure toward the Agriates desert, Saint Florent, Ile-Rousse and Calvi and its huge bay, its citadel, its navy and its marina. Lunch at restaurant. Departure towards a multitude of old villages, famous for its craftsmen cutlers, sculptors, potters, glassmakers… Lumio, Cateri, Sant’Antonino, perfectly-preserved medieval village, Pigna, alive craft center, Corbara and its convent which still serves as a retreat place…Return to Bastia. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in or near Bastia.


D07 : Heart of Corsica : (142 km )

Breakfast. Departure towards Ostriconi valley and Ponte Leccia. Arrival at Corte, at the foot of the tallest peaks of the island. As it was the capital of Corsica, Corte is now an historic city but it is also a young and lively city. Old houses and alleys cobbled by pebbles make its charm. Its citadel, built on a steep peak dominates the upper town. Lunch at restaurant. Tourist train to climb the city. Return to Bastia. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in or near Bastia.  


D08: Bastia : (40 km)

Breakfast. Transfer to airport. .

Accommodation based on double room in hotels (category 2 ** or 3 ***) for 7 nights.

Meals in Corsica from dinner the first day to breakfast the last day.

The train in Corte.

1 free accommodation in a land-based ½ double room for 25 paying people.
